Jackets in Need Emergency Fund

The Black Hills State University Foundation has set up a Student Emergency Fund, which will go directly to providing immediate financial assistance to students impacted by COVID-19. The fund will help cover:

  • Travel and temporary relocation assistance

  • Living expenses

  • Amenities such as internet for taking online classes

  • Income from lost wages

  • Support for emotional, physical, and mental well-being

Please provide all information listed below.

Applications will be reviewed on an daily basis until funding is no longer available.

If your application is approved, you will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid.


The amount of support provided will be determined on a case-by-case basis depending on available funds. All payments will be deposited in your student account and will be refunded by the Office of Financial Aid if it exceeds your current balance due. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have refund questions.
